Notice: Extended validity period of cancer care quality certification for one year

I. In order to cooperate with the Ministry of Health and Welfare policy of the 2020 annual hospital evaluation and teaching hospital evaluation for 1 year postponement, so that all hospitals can make every effort to prevent COVID-19. Thus, the hospital was extended for 1 year during the period of validity of the cancer care quality certification. For hospitals that passed the first stage of certification in 2019, the certification application of “Applicable Edition of Certified Hospitals” can be postponed for 1 year and submitted in 2021. Not subject to the year of 2020 cancer care quality certification operation procedure (applicable edition of the hospital that has not been certified) are not restricted to following regulation:
Acts 8. The certification result;
Acts 8-2. Hospitals whose certification results are “passed”, must submit “certified hospital applicable version certification application” the following year.

II. However, in order to respect the differences between the hospitals and avoid affecting their rights and interests, except for the following cases; if the hospital decide to apply for certification in this year (2020), it must be inform the Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare in an official letter before the end of March 2020:
      i. The term hospital: self-selected to maintain the same (2020) annual certification;
        ii. For hospitals that passed the first stage of certification in 2019: self-selected to maintain the same (2020) annual certification;
        iii. Hospitals applying for certification for the first time: self-selected to apply this year (2020).

III. If hospitals choose to apply for certification in this year (2020), the application period will be extended before April 17th, 2020 (inclusive), and prepared documents without copies will be sent directly to the institution entrusted by the Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare to complete the application for registration. If the relevant documents or supporting certifications are not fully prepared, the supplementary documents should be sent to the institution entrusted by the Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare before April 24th (inclusive).
