Welcome to the Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan (HPA) Mailbox. To enable swift processing of your inquiry, please read the following instructions:

1. Under Article 170 of the Administrative Procedure Act, the HPA will appoint officers to handle your inquiry, in a confidential manner when legally required, in the following steps:
   • I.
     To ensure that your email is not being misused by others and is able to receive our reply, please click the link in the confirmation email sent by our system within 2 days (48 hours). We will process your email upon receiving your confirmation. Please note that an inquiry is not considered accepted until confirmation.
   • II.
     Upon confirmation on the system, we take around 5 work days to respond to you.
2. To put valuable resources to best use, repeat inquiries on the same subject matter will be consolidated into one case. No additional notifications will be sent for each consolidated case.
3. The personal information (including but not limited to name, contact number, contact address, and email address) submitted will be handled in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and relevant regulations. For purposes other than official business and without your consent, the HPA will not provide your personal information to a third party. However, in a situation where your petition is out of the HPA’s legal prerogative, your personal information may be forwarded to another ministry or government agency along with your inquiry for further responses.
4. Under Article 173 of the Administrative Procedure Act, the HPA will not respond under the following circumstances:
   • I.
     The inquiry has no clear purpose or does not contain the inquirer’s real name or address.
   • II.
     The inquiry has been properly handled and responded to but repeatedly being sent.
   • III.
     The inquiry is irrelevant to the HPA’s legal prerogative and widely disseminated to other government agencies.
