Office workers spend one third a day of their time in office. But people often forget to pay attention to their own health when they are busy. According to Health Promotion Administration (HPA) 「2017 Workforce Health Promotion Status Quote Phone Survey」, more than 80% (83.0%) of domestic employees in the workplace did not reach the HPA’s recommended amount of fruit and vegetables, more than one-half (53.4%)of the weekly physical activity did not reach the level of at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity by the World Health Organization, while nearly 40% (39.2%) were overweight or obese (24.7% overweight and 14.5% obese).
Dr. Wang Ying-Wei, Director-General, Health Promotion Administration said, in order to promote the health of employees in the workplace, the National Health Service has established a health workplace promotion center in the three regions of North, Central and South since 2007, and continues to work with local government health bureaus to promote workplace health promotion issues. In addition, with the advancement of smart technology in recent years, the Health Department has begun to use intelligent health promotion services to strength of the individual's behavior and social connections.
Since 2017, HPA has initiated ”build the smart health city project”, using “smart workplaces” promotion service model in Taipei city. First in Taipei's large, medium and small workplaces, such as Taiwan Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., Anxin Food Service Co., Ltd. and China Ticket Finance Co., Ltd., Main theme of this project is “healthy body weight management”, and closely workplace’s employee lifestyle. By smart technology services model to provide smart health promotion service , such as healthy diet, physical activity and healthy body weight.

The 4+1 Programs of Smart Workplaces. Employee healthy management assistant
In order to promote employee’s healthy behavior, such as to enhance exercise, to alter the sedentary status, to enhance drinking water, and to increase the rates of fruits and vegetables intake. Develop accords with workplace environment and employee lifestyle in service model, and having a healthy work-life balance. HPA has initiated ” the 4+1 programs of smart workplaces”, and workplace interventions in 2018, to verifying the effectiveness of service model.

1. Intelligent Hall:
Using waiting times, fragmented leisure times in health promotion. Promoting health in the waiting times, fragmented leisure times. Set up a health measurement stop, intelligent seat cushion, healthy management assistant robot, exercising in zero-time exercise blood pressure detection, body weight measurement, To improve health awareness and self-management, to increase the measurement frequency of health-related biofactors, and to enhance the participation rate of zero-time exercise. 

2. Sports Office
The seat cushion could remind move when living a sedentary lifestyle spend too much time. Combine intelligent seat cushions, intelligent conference tables, adjustable lifting desk, intelligent sports equipment. Combine steppers with remind in time and adjustable lifting desk, to alter the sedentary status in office worker population, and to enhance the participation rate of zero-time exercise.

3. Intelligent Water Intake

To elevate the personal healthy awareness, balanced daily food intake, untrientcomposition analysis, and to enhance the participation rate of zero-time exercise in workplace.

“The 4+1 Programs of Smart Workplace” finished the trial and effectiveness verification by the end of 2018, and then use the of programs to another workplace. “The 4+1 Programs of Smart Workplace” will lead the new wave of healthy workplaces.
