Taiwan Healthy Cities in 2008

In response to the concepts of “Healthy City” from WHO, we have implemented “Taiwan Healthy City Plans” since 2003. By integrating professional investigation teams and local governments viewed the city residents’ health needs and problems, to enhance relationships across different governmental departments, academic unites, and public and private sectors established healthy policies through the cooperative mechanism. We have collaborated with Miaoli County and Tamsui township of Taipei County those have been affiliated with Alliance for Healthy Cities (AFHC), Western Pacific Region, WHO in 2008.
