October 11：The US Environmental Protection Agency paid a formal visit to EPA Minister Lee Ying-yuan. HPA Director-General Wang Ying-Wei attended this meeting as a representative of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The US delegation was comprised of Ms. Jane Nishida, EPA Acting Assistant Administrator for EPA’s Office of International and Tribal Affairs (OITA), EPA Senior Program Manager in Northeast Asia, Mr. Phillip Loosli, Economic Officer of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), and Ms. Guo Meijun, environmental technology specialist. The US delegation and representatives of ROC government ministries and councils engaged in discussions on the current progress and future directions of the children’s environmental health initiative.
