July 1：In order to support and assist infertile couples with hope of giving birth, and reduce the economic burden of infertility treatment, MOHW expanded in vitro fertilization (test tube baby) assisted reproduction technology subsidization project. The subsidized subjects included infertile couples if either one of couple is a citizen of ROC. The age of the wives must be under age 45. Wives under age 40 are subsidized up to 6 times per childbirth. Wives under age 45 are subsidized up to 3 times per childbirth. Low and middle income families are subsidized up to NT$ 150,000 each time. The general public is subsidized up to NT$ 100,000 for first applications, a maximum of NT$ 60,000 for subsequent applications.
