The 19th International Network of Health Promotion Foundations Annual Meeting (INHPF 2022) will be held in Taipei, Taiwan virtually on August 17, 2022. 

The main theme of INHPF 2022 is Health Promotion Policy for Global Action. Based on the World Health Organization's 1986 Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion, five action areas are considered essential: healthy public policies, supportive environments, personal skills, community action, and reorientation of health services.

The most recent Geneva Charter, output of the 10th Global Conference on Health Promotion in December 2021, built on the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion and the legacy of nine global conferences on health promotion. It highlights the need for global commitments to achieve equitable health and social outcomes now and for future generations, without destroying the health of our planet.
 
At the same time, the COVID-19 pandemic exposed the weaknesses in all areas of society and the urgency of creating well-being sustainable societies for now and future, highlighting the critical role of social and behavioral health promotion interventions, and the importance of effective coordination and collaboration at a country and global level.

Health promotion policies are needed to be transformed to achieve sustainable development, improve population health, and build back better after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting invited member representatives from Australia, Thailand, Korea and Tonga to share their practical experience on health promotion policies and intervention program. We also invited experts from Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance, SEATCA to share on health promotion fund movement.
