This Health Promotion Statistical Yearbook presents data on the health status of the population in Taiwan, as well as the performance results of health promotion and non-communicable disease prevention programs implemented by the Health Promotion Administration. It also compiles data collected through official statistical surveys and relevant health indicators released by other government agencies for public health reference.
The contents cover five major areas: Health Status, Health Risk Factors, Utilization and Performance of Health Services, Supportive Environments for Health, and International Comparison with OECD Countries. This year’s edition includes a total of 119 indicators. For each indicator, the most recent available data have been adopted as a general principle. In addition, the year displayed on the cover has been adjusted to reflect the year of publication.
As the compilation of this Yearbook involves complex statistical work, there may still be areas that require further improvement. We sincerely welcome comments and suggestions from all sectors as references for future refinement.
