衛生福利部國民健康署 - November 1：At the 2021 Global Health and Welfare Forum, we conducted a parallel forum “climate change and children’s health.” It was hosted by President Huey Jen Jenny Su, National Cheng Kung University, Dr. Chung Liang Shih, Vice Minister, Ministry of Health and Welfare. Taiwan, Deputy Minister Hung Teh Tsai, Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan, Taiwan and Jane Nishida, Assistant Administrator Office of International and Tribal Affairs, Environmental Protection Agency, United States conducted a speech. The speakers included Dr. Perry Sheffield. Associate Professor of Environmental Medicine and Public Health and Pediatrics Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, USA. Dr. Rebecca Philipsborn, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Emory University School of Medicine. Deputy Director Shih Chun Candice Lung, Research Center for Environmental Changes Academia Sinica, TW. We hoped to upgrade the emphasis of global climate change to children’s health. We also came up with all kinds of actions and protection measures. Approximately 200 experts and scholars from the USA, Philipphines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Canada, Germany, and Taiwan participated in live and online meetings.

April 20：Executive Yuan Directorate-General of Personnel Administration invited Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Ministry of Interior, and MOHW to host a meeting on “whether actual medical service staff of local government health offices should be included in the hospitals, and not included in the statutory manning quota of local administrative agencies.”

March 5：HPA hosted a Taiwan-US cooperation memo work hierarchy meeting. In the meeting, we reported the policy application and development of cancer registry in Taiwan. We also consulted their promotional experience of chronic disease integration healthcare. We proposed the establishment of contact window. US National Cancer Institute and Centers for Disease Control were willing to provide their experience of basic medical healthcare copayment cancer registry and chronic disease. We also discussed further cooperation with US health division.
