APEC Conference on Urbanization, Population Aging and Technology Innovation will be held in Taipei virtually, from Nov. 18 to 19, 2021.

As we knows, rapid urbanization and an aging population are two inexorable and intersecting demographic trends in Asia-Pacific region as a result of challenges for public health and socioeconomic development. Economies need to create age-friendly and sustainable urban environments through the application of technology innovation, where people from every background live and work together in harmony and safety.

The objective of this conference is to share experience and discuss actions on promoting healthy and age-friendly cities, integrated care policies on chronic disease through innovative technology and building capacity for APEC economies in response to this demographic shift. It can also establish a communication channel afterwards for facilitation and contribution to an effectively long-term cooperation of the region to promote health within respective APEC member economies.
